Everyone involved with the Scottish Stammering Network was so sad to hear of the passing of our friend and trustee Lynne Mackie. We send our deepest condolences to her family.
Lynne sadly lost her battle with cancer and we all just can’t believe it. Lynne was a wonderful, vibrant person and just a joy to be around. There are not enough words to sum up how great she was. Lynne always put others first and would help anyone she could. She helped so many in different ways throughout her life and brought a great joy and humour into everything she did. She was a key speaker at our various open days and inspired so many who stammer and assured them they can achieve what they want in life. Lynne has so many friends around the world from all of the organisations she was part of and the stammering events she attended. It is tragic that cancer has taken the life of such a lovely, vibrant, caring, beautiful and intelligent lassie. Her loss is felt deeply by everyone who knew her and we all desperately miss her already.
We will do something with others to honour her memory and will keep everyone updated about this.
